The Caldia® marble is a precious stone extracted by Marmi e Graniti d’Italia from its quarry located in Rocchetta (Massa Carrara), in the Apuan Alps complex. The main features of this material are its pure white and semitransparent background and its veins in shades of mint green and grey; what makes the Caldia® marble even more peculiar is the wide variety of designs these streaks create on the surface, ranging from scattered, light colored lines to an intricate pattern of oval shaped veins.
The superior elegance of the Caldia® marble makes it the perfect choice for luxurious design interventions such as lobbies, high-end bathrooms and boutiques; thanks to the extreme purity of the crystalline white background, our precious marble is capable of confering on any ambience an unparalleled brilliance, both in the polished and honed finishing. The stunning results of the Caldia® marble applications for both interiors and exteriors can be seen in some of our most recent projects, such as the 1290 Avenue of the Americas lobby, the WTC West Concurse and the 18 Gramercy Park master bath units.
Marmi e Graniti d’Italia stocks the Caldia® marble in 2 cm and 3 cm slabs and, starting from the wide selection of blocks coming from our quarry, we are also able to supply custom thicknesses as well as tiles of different sizes (see table at the bottom of the page for details); latest addition to MGI‘s selection are also the Caldia® marble mosaic tiles obtained from the remains of the fabrication processes.
Caldia® is a registered trademark by Marmi e Graniti d’Italia srl identifying a white marble originated from the Massa quarry
