Marmi e Graniti d’Italia was invited at the opening day of the Devon Energy Headquarters, a prestigious building complex in Oklahoma City which, next to the main offices of the energy company, offers public spaces like a convention center, meeting rooms and restaurants. The developing of the project by architects Pickard Chilton indentified in our Caldia® marble the material to be used in the most visible and prestigious areas of the building in a quantity of almost 50,ooo sf. At the evening gala the Vice President Mr Klay Kimker thanked MGI for the job performed and for the excellent quality of the materials (detailed info can be found on our website under the “projects” section). During the trip, our team also stopped in New York City to visit some of the most famous names in the construction business of the east coast, with whom MGI has collaborated frequently in the past years; among these names there are the artchitecture firm Moed de Armas & Shannon and the Related, Brookfield and Vornado properties. The stop in the Big Apple also gave the opportunity to visit 2 job sites in which our most wanted Caldia marble is going to be installed: the 1290 Avenue of the Americas and the World Financial Center. In the end Marmi e Graniti d’Italia can definitely be satisfied with the outcome of this trip which confimed, once agian, an ever growing interest by the US market in our materials, first above all the Caldia® marble.
