Marmi e Graniti d’Italia was one of the main sponsors of the ARCH&STONE ’13 award, endorsed by the Consortium of Botticino Classico Marble Producers, a contest that promoted and rewarded works of contemporary architecture made in natural stone. ARCH&STONE ’13 ‘s objective was to enhance the intrinsic quality of the materials used, conferring to the stone its primary role. The 41 partecipating projects, both pubblic and private buildings, were all designed by European architects in the period between 2000 and 2012. The winning project was announced on December 20th 2013 during the award ceremony held in Botticino (Brescia); a pubblication was also created, called “ARCH&STONE ’13 – Architetture in pietra del nuovo millennio” with detailed descriptions of all the submitted designs. The following immage, which can be found inside the pubblication, is part of MGI‘s sponsorship to this exciting competition (click on it to see it in full scale or open the .pdf version at the bottom of the page).
