The Italian Stone Theatre

Dear reader,
This year’s edition of Marmomacc in Verona (Sep. 30th – Oct. 3rd) will be an important one, with the fair celebrating its 50th anniversary; many are the events in plan for this special occasion and MGI will be part of one of the most iconic. Thanks to the funds granted by the Italian Ministry for Economic Development, Marmomacc is developing the Italian Stone Theatre, an exhibit that will praise on the excellences of our local stone industry. This one of a kind event will occupy Hall 1 of the expo complex, with its space divided into two sections: one showcasing unique and innovative natural stone pieces and the other featuring the latest machines and technologies; even thou separated, this two thematic areas will be harmoniously blended together under the “made in Italy” trademark.
The area designated to natural stone creations will be called Lithic Vertigo and, as the name itself evokes, will focus on the verticality of stone installations, experimenting new ways and ideas to challenge gravity. MGI’s Lithic Dragonfly, which I presented to you last month, was proudly chosen as one of the few pieces of this exhibition.
Best Regards,
