Lithic Dragonfly flight test

Dear reader,
Last month’s workshop was a success as we were able to test the stability of Lithic Dragonfly. After inserting the galvanized iron frame and weaving the elastic wire, the most delicate part was balancing the wings (with a span of 3 meters and a weight of over 100 lb) on the dragonfly’s body. The task proved to be very challenging, just  as we expected, but our team of MGI’s expert workers and students of the Politecnico di Bari was able to overcome all obstacles. Now the next and final step will be the installation of Lithic Dragonfly at Marmomacc, inside Hall 1, where it will be showcased among the excellences of the Made in Italy stone industry; in case you missed some of our past communications, you can read about Lithic Dragonfly and this year’s edition of the Verona fair here and here.
